This particular case study is an exploration of child development during these early formative years. Jason is a playful, bright and healthy two-year-old male, although a little shy.
His parents are John, a thirty-two-year-old computer technician and Michelle, a twenty-eight-year-old graphic designer. Both have very serious career goals and Michelle had returned to work twelve weeks after Jason was born. They have been married six years and this is their first and so far only child.
Although both appear to be loving parents, they are most certainly focused on many goals in their lives. After his mother returned to work, his maternal grandmother had helped take care of him for approximately six months afterward.
After that time Jason was introduced to a local day care facility with an excellent reputation. Initially Jason reacted quite negatively to the situation, crying for some time after being left and refusing to participate in any classroom activities, but eventually he could be left for the day without incident. However he continued to be withdrawn during playtime activities and had minimum of socialization with the other children.

It also provides funding for prosecution of individuals charged with child-related crimes. CAPTA works to provide agencies with research and technical assistance, setting the standard and universal definition of child abuse and neglect.
CAPTA came into play in in response to the overwhelming number of cases of abuse and neglect in the United States. It also dictates that each state must comply with the law in order to receive federal funding for child welfare and supportive services.

My baby cousin Anaya is a 2-year-old female, which I chose as a subject to study for early childhood. She lives with her parents, grandparents and his newborn, 2-month-old brother. She is born in an Indian — American culture, where two languages are spoken, Gujarati and English. Both of her parents work until 7 pm, she stays with grandparents and, her baby sitter.
Anaya's day consist of staying home with her baby sitter and her grandmother while her parents are working. Anaya doesn't associate with other children everyday because she lives in Manhattan. She does however; go out to the playground when her parents go for a walk.
Anaya loves to play with her toys and loves to spend time with her mother while she is reading or praying. She often starts to repeat the stuff she understands. She loves to repeat an action such as praying positions while her grandfather prays. Anaya doesn't like it when her mother yells at her, but she knows that she shouldn't be doing something bad.
She often enjoys playing games on her mother's Ipad and when she doesn't get to play she is grumpy or cries.
She is often very demanding and she will be angry if you are not doing what she wants you to do. In this case study I will be studying Anaya's challenges, such as Physical Development, also her cognitive, social, and emotional development of her early childhood. Victoria has a one year old dog whose name is ''Marley'' and she is a Boxer. Victoria received her dog as a gift for Christmas when she was about two years old. Victoria is now two and a half years old and has had no health issues except for the very common cold a few times a year.
It does not seem that Victoria has any stresses outside of what is normal for a girl her age. Her so called 'stresses' are in correspondence to the household rules. Victoria goes to "KinderCare;" a daycare, while her mother and father are at work. Victoria attends daycare from 8am to 6pm Monday through Thursday. Victoria stays with a grandparent for one day every weekend, taking turns between her mother's parents and her father's parents.
